Valorant is changing with Unreal Engine 5

Valorant rocked the gaming world with a big announcement by Riot Games.The engine used in the development of the game will be upgraded to Unreal Engine 5. This will pave the way for new game modes.

Riot Games has announced that Valorant will be updated with Unreal Engine 5. Anna Donlon, Head of Valorant Studios, said that the developers are making the most of Unreal Engine 4. Accordingly, the transition to UE5 is necessary for the popular tactical shooter to continue to grow.

Valorant’s visuals and performance are not expected to change dramatically. However, Donlon said that the engine upgrade will pave the way for future graphical improvements. More interestingly, Riot Games will be releasing new playable experiences for Valorant once the UE5 transition is complete.
